Am i being really greedy?

It sounds like you already have a full schedule taking care of the dog you have. Why should this dog suffer so you can have a second dog you don't even need? Just because you spend more time with the dog than anyone else, doesn't mean the dog is getting the attention it needs. I think I'm with your dad on this one.
